Reading Communication Styles

Reading communication styles is not about judging others. It's about observing others during interactions to determine how to best communicate with them. There are four basic communication styles: director: someone who wants only the facts and pertinent information, informational: an analytical person who wants data and facts to "prove" an idea, socializer: an individual who is empathetic and cherishes relationships, and promoter: somewho likes to be "the life of the party" and encourages others to enjoy and have fun.

In order to have alignment with an indivdual, it is necessary to understand your own communication style. Even though it takes a bit of effort to determine others style, this is extremly important when engaging in business. Knowing this information will allow you to connect with your current and prospective clients enaabling you to to build trusted relationships that will grow your business.
